Laptop screws fell out and... - HP laptop

Computers & Services

My son has a HP laptop and it was under the one year warranty when I contacted hp for service. Apparently the a few screws fell out of the bottom of it and the alignment went wrong and damaged the fan. After spending an hour of my valuable time with someone who couldn't speak English well enough to understand the word "alignment" nor could his manager (India call center) I sent the laptop in with a written note.in turn the repairs center told me this is not covered under warranty and it will cost me $273.49 to fix the alignment and the fan which all became damaged because some very tiny screws came out unnoticed (if they were even there in the first place???). My only recourse it to write a letter to the corporate headquarters (but there is NO phone number or e-mail address - hmmm, sounds like they are blowing me off doesn't it?) describing these circumstances. What a load of crap!!! Time is always important with use of computers and a letter in the snail mail just adds more time to the absence of a valuable tool - and HP knows it!!!
