On 10-29-10 I bought a brand new Asus laptop, on 9-25-11 the drive failed. Asus changed the drive under warranty. On 3-6-12, (4 months later) the newly replaced hard drive failed. Named Asus customer support and was informed the pc has gone out of guarantee which I'd need to "purchase" at my cost a brand new drive.

What Asus says to all of US is, purchase my pc and that I can guarantee it to get a year. If throughout that period we create a fix or substitute a component we shall not warranty that fix or component beyond THE INITIAL guarantee. At this time I will suppose the alternative was possibly faulty, refurbished, or of poor. With that Asus says, mail me your computers for repair, we shall repair them at your cost AND CERTAINLY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND YOUR REPLACEMENT PARTS OR FIX. Exactly what a fantastic organization to complete business with.
