Trouble booting Studio laptop - Studio 17 Laptop

I am not able to boot my Studio laptop when it is plugged into a power source. Only when it is on battery power and all external accessories (printer, external drive etc) are unplugged from the computer will it boot and start. I'm concerned that, eventually, I will not be able to boot the computer at all.
