I have bought a sony playstation 3 when it was first released within a 18month period it had to be replaced because of a heating issue i sent it back to the factory to be replaced at a cost of 150.00 i have had my current system for less than two yrs and i have the same problem i did some research online and found that there are many consumers having the same problem over and over and each time u have to shove out another 150.00 to fix the problem upon my last contact with sony i ask was the problem with the system a consumer era or a defect in the system itself iam thinking it has to be a defect in the system since the problem keeps occurring with a great number of customers me being a small fish in a big pond sony gave me the run around so iam writing to hopefully at least try to get the ball rolling to help consumers get there hard earn money worth when buying a product all i wish is that this can be brought more in the public spotlight so that so many people will not have to suffer the same results i would love to have some input emailed to the above address on what i need to do to combat this problem sony need to come forward and admit the game is a defect
