My PSC 1350 All-In-One and Scanjet 5590

I own an HP printer/scanner which has been a powerhouse for a number of years, but I can't use the scanner because I downloaded Internet Explorer 7. I tried to download the patch to fix the problem but received a message that my driver was up-to-date so I didn't need the fix. I can't open the HP Director at all or scan any documents.

I also have a Scanjet 5590 which is still in the box. I bought it a couple of years ago and couldn't use it with my PSC 1350 because they share the same driver. I tried everything and nothing worked - that's why it's still in the box.

And neither piece of equipment is now being supported. I thought I might be able to use the Scanjet but if it uses the same driver as the 1350, I still may not be able to use the HP Director.

That leaves me with two perfectly good machines except for the software issues. Thank you Hewlett Packard for doing such a terrible job of supporting your customers. I always thought HP was great—not any more. I'll NEVER buy another HP product if I have anything to say about it. And I'll pass the word along to all my friends about the lousy customer service.

Ripoff driver on website doesn't work, 2 years still not fixed!
