After having a Toshiba satellite laptop for around 6 mos, I'd to contact tech-support 'trigger my DVD-drive was not being read. Although examining that issue, the tech-support mentioned the pc was operating "as sluggish as molasses" and suggested that I back-up my documents to disk and perform a program restoration. I foolishly adopted his recommend so when I attempted to reestablish my own documents, I really couldnot work out how to get them from disk. And so I named again, was informed to complete ANOTHER program restoration (I did so) and was informed to subsequently contact techsupport back. I called back, informed them used to donot understand how to get my own documents back (I am not so computer-savvy) and was informed this was a problem they mightnot help me with. "however, you folks explained to complete the restoration and call-back" I informed "Steve" the technology. He could not support, he repeated. I required a boss and was place in contact (after 10 units) with "Bob" who stood company that Toshiba could not help me, despite the fact that I had been functioning on their instructiions. Therefore, after talking with "Steve, quantity one", "Jo Jo" ""John #2" and "Bob-the boss, I've gotten my dvd-player back (I believe) but dropped all my own documents. Approach to take Toshiba.incidentally, should you choosenot understand it, the tech-support centre is found in the Philippines. Additionally, should you you've a, speculate where you document it... Yes, immediately at tech-support within the Philippines. No further Toshiba items for me personally, thanks.
