Purchased Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop recieved June 26th did not put together until after my vacation July 5th. The integrated web cam never worked, I tried many things thinking I just didn't understand because it was new to me. Called tech support they had me try many things and hours on phone even clearing out my harddrive and having to reinstall everything and start from new. Tech finally said the camera must not have been hooked up or has loose broken wire. They said they would send a tech which took 2 weeks to get to my home. Tech came with new webcam and installed it and said that the factory never put the screen in correctly and that the holes and screws don't even match up. Result cannot use the computer and must be sent to Dell to be fixed.
Not feeling comfortable with the solution called Dell tech support to say I would like to send this NEW computer back and get a new one they said they could only replace it with a refurbished computer, and that I waited past the 21 days to replace for new computer.
So here I sit out $1584.00 for a new laptop and 45 days after initial delivery still do not have a working laptop. Did I mention this was my daughters 16 th birthday present and I am a single monther who took on a second job at night and 6 months to do it to purchase my broken laptop. I guess I can easily say this is my last Dell computer and will not recommend their product and thier service department is lacking in English speaking people and cannot even transfer phone calls, I had been dropped a few times and they didn't even try to call me back I had to start from the beginning each time pleading my case, exhausting just exhausting.
