Computer returned with no operating system after repair

Computers & Services

My computer died about three months after I bought it so we brought it back to Best Buy to get it fixed (since it was still under warranty). They never called us to tell us the computer had been fixed, and we finally called about 5 weeks after we dropped it off when they said it had been "fixed". So we go to pick it up and ask at the store to confirm the fix - they said the couldn't confirm the fix because there was no operating system on the computer and we would have to buy a new operating system to install on the computer.

I said that made no sense to me since THEY cleaned out the hard drive but the guys there basically said tough luck. They said there was nothing they could do. So now we are left with a buster computer and no operating system. I am never setting foot in a Best Buy store ever again and the Geek Squad are geeks and idiots.
