Broken Scanner Received and No Reply for Two Weeks

Received a broken scanner (ordered through Amazon). After two weeks of constant calling and emailing I still have never heard back from Mustek. Since then, time has been running out for returning it to the seller, and the cost of shipping this scanner is about half the cost of the actual appliance. I am afraid I will either lose a bunch of money returning it or be left with an expensive doorstop. Please get back to me, Mustek!!!
A3 2400S large format scanner, scanner bar will not move during operation.
