Extra Unauthorized Debits Ran Off My Credit Card

If you have given your credit card details to Facebook for advertising, etc. Check your bank statement!

I was really annoyed after seeing all the extra debit orders running off my credit card. I authorized one debit to pay for one ad. Next thing, they were debiting my account left, right and center. Apparently, according to the bank, I must have subscribed to something (and it is my fault). They even tried to debit my account while I was disputing this and after I had reported the problem.

Luckily I had stopped my credit card. According to the bank, it was the only way to stop them. My only gripe now is that I have to pay R140 to have my credit card re-issued. Beware!
