Ripoff, misdiognostic, decive, lied

It all began with my car not wanting to start. I didn't know what to do so I went to the yellow pages and looked up a mechanic. I found this page that said BOB'S AUTO REPAIR, NUMBER ONE STUDENT RECOMMENDED, so I took the bait and called them. The car went in and it turned out to be, supposedly, the distributor. They charge me $418.00. I was desperate, so I paid.

One week later, the car's serpentine belt broke, call it coincidence. So I take the car to Bob's auto repair, again. I leave it there for observation and they call me to tell me that the time belt was damaged in the process.

Now, my car is a Toyota Camry, this is not supposed to happened. As far as I am concerned, Toyota Camrys don't mess up like that.

They tell me its going to cost me 500.00 dollars to fix. At this point, I am hysterical! I am a education major student, who needs my car to visit kids in school in order to pass my classes. So I go to the shop and talk to them. I tell them I can't afford this but that I was going to go ahead and pay them. I go home and, half an hour later, they call me telling me that the whole engine got messed up. All this because the serpentine belt broke. I ended up towing my car out of there with a 100.00 dollar labor fee from them.

My parents had to come to tow the car back to Miami. (Tallahassee to Miami, 7-8 hours, towing is double that time) The mechanics over there said that Bob's auto messed up my car. That they took out parts they weren't supposed to. So I basically paid those assholes to mess up my car.

This is so upsetting because I feel that I can't do anything about it. Being a student and female means being ripped off almost anywhere I go!!!
