Rip-off, went in for free tire rotation, company broke stud, quoted me astronomical amount to fix what they broke

I received a free coupon for a oil change, oil filter, and tire rotation. I went to have my car serviced, and when I signed for the work, the mechanic stated to me that they broke 1 of the studs. It apparently had broken off in the lug. The company had given me the lug with the broken stud in it, then had the audacity to quote me $290 to fix what they had broken. They also tried to blame the previous place I had it serviced, saying that when the previous company rotated the tires, they "cross threaded" the stud. I then asked around other automotive service company's, and every one that I asked said that the quote was extremely high. I then inquired to Precision Automotive Services about the price, and they said it was due to labor. They said it would take 2.8 hours to do the job.

To make a long story short, me and a friend, with absolutely zero automotive experience working on cars, did the job in under 45 minutes. And thats adding the time it took us to go get parts. What this company tried to do to me is not only ridiculous, but, in my opinion, criminal. Thank you for your time, and I hope that I have illustrated cleary what has happened to us, so that it doesn't happen to others.
