Enterprise Rent-a-car
False Damage Claim

Cars & Transport

I recently traveled to Dallas, TX for a friends wedding. Half way there the car we were traveling in broke down due to fuel pump issues. Sitting in the 112 weather we realized we needed to rent a car to get us the rest of the way there. After 3hrs and finding out that Enterprise DOES NOT PICK YOU UP. We were even told by an Employee 'that was not something they do.' Anyways we arrive to the DFW Airport to pick the car up. The employee circled the car in the dark parking garage noted some existing damage and sent us on our way. We were exhausted and ready to drive to the hotel.

We left the car in the hotel parking garage and took it out once in the two days we were there. Upon getting the car we traveled in repaired we took the rent-a-car back to the DFW Airport to return it. As soon as I pulled up the lady walked immediately to the 'existing' damage and said that the car was damaged while in our possession and that it was not noted upon receiving the car. We told her it was already there and she typed up a report and had us sign it and told us we could appeal it. Three weeks later, 5 more damages were reported! Someone please tell me this is not a normal procedure!
