Cars & Transport

Within 24 hrs of driving the car off the lot, brakes were grinding. The mechanic said it looked as though they had just sprayed oil on them just to get the truck going. Within the month, the battery was leaking sulfur. The mechanic said it was dangerous & said the truck should not be driven until the battery is replaced. It is not common for a battery to leak sulfur, so it's apparent that it was faulty & should have been changed before selling the vehicle. The oil, was thick like tar, which meant the dealership hadn't even been properly maintaining it. The alternator is also faulty. These are too many issues for a vehicle to have in the first month. When a vehicle is purchased "as is", it's under the assumption that it has at least been maintained up to the point of purchase. Any issues should have been disclosed before selling it.
