WARNING WARNING (NTB Germantown MD 20874)...:

I will not return to the Germantown, Maryland National Tire and Battery (NTB) due to their appalling service of my SUV on June 11. I paid for a $49.00 oil change service, which was to include an oil change, air filter and brake and front wheel alignment check. When I left NTB the service engine light came on. I returned the next day and was told they just needed to reset the service indicator, which they did. I left again only to have the check engine light appear again. This caused me to take off work again to have it checked out somewhere else, before I got on the road to vacation. I did not want to be stranded on a road somewhere and endanger my family. The next mechanic showed me that the wrong air filter had been used and this is what caused the check engine light to come on. The difference in size of the air filters was glaringly obvious. I then returned to NTB and spoke to the mechanic who performed the service who admitted that he installed the wrong air filter. He ordered a new one and once installed the service light went off. I also noticed that though I had paid for a front wheel alignment, it did not appear from the paperwork to have been performed. The manager called me and said they would do the front wheel alignment and brakes the next day. I had an appointment at 9am they did not work on my SUV until 10am. They began to perform the wrong service! At that point, I asked for my vehicle back and told them I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I also filed a complaint with NTB%u2019s corporate office on June 11. Case # 4971293

I have yet to receive a good response about this issue.
