Crooked as the day is long

Do not under any circumstances use this place. They just burned me for $530.

I have a Chrysler Pacifica and was having AC problems. It blew hot and cold intermittently and then the blower quit blowing completely. Because it was close, I went to Joe s Auto on Union Hills and 43rd. I like supporting neighborhood businesses.

I asked them to give me an estimate on what it would take to put my car back to normal ac wise. I explained the symptoms and after a checkout, they said they could fix it for $530. He explained that my blower motor had been causing the intermittent issues and that by replacing it, all problems would be resolved.

Silly me. I believed him. 4hours and $530 later, I got my car back. It blew cold for a couple of hours and quit blowing cold. I took it back figuring they d fix it. No charge. He then told me he wanted another $300 to put an evaporator coil in. I said, But you said you could fix it for $530. He said, and I kid you not..."Well I can t predict the future".

You know what? I can. I can predict I will never be suckered by good ol Joe s Auto again. These guys are either straight up shysters, or incompetent.

Regardless, in my book, if you give your word, it should mean something. You should do what you promise to your customers. Joes Auto shouild not be trusted under any circumstances.
