Rude Service Personnel Screwed Up Systems Ripoff

Beginning at the first of July, I paid my monthly bill 2 days before its due date. I watched and watched my checking account on line and didn't notice it posting, even though it normally did with-in 3 days.

I called the company and was told that they had changed over their computer system and was having "trouble" with some accounts. They advised me at that time, "Not to worry" and that as soon as they could they would re-submit my electronic check. For three weeks I called the company every other day (twice more submitting my checking information).

I asked every time if I should pay the bill by some other method. Each time I was continually told that they were having "problems" and nothing would be reflected on my account for late payment. Three weeks into this ordeal I begin receiving calls from their collections department asking me to make a payment. Sometimes they would call two or three times a day as late as 10:00 PM at night.

Every time I had to explain the situation and the person would "make notes" and promise to handle the situation. At one point, a collector named "Steven" started talking to me like a child telling me that I should "learn to pay my bills on time" and when asked to be switched to a supervisor was refused time and again. This person even had the nerve to tell me that they had submitted my check and it "had bounced", even though I had both online and paper records from my bank showing ample money in my account.

After five weeks of this, I finally had to make two months of payment using Western Union at a cost of $80.00, they changed my account number with out letting me know the new one and I had spent about 10 hours of wasted time on the phone trying to get everything cleared up.

If they had told me up front what was going on I could have mailed a check for. 37 and would have if told what problems they were having. It turns out that my check wouldn't go through because their computer was automatically adding extra zeros to my account number.
At no point during any of this did anyone say they were sorry for what was going on.
