Several months back I was called by wells fargo auto telling me i was late on the payment and asked why. I told them that the payment was sent a week and ahalf ago but if they didn't receive it within two days, i would send another check. They said fine.

Two days passed and I noticed in my checking account, the money was still there. I called wells fargo auto and told them that i wanted to make a payment over the phone since the check was probably lost in the mail.

She said ok. Then I asked if i could give the same check info that I sent in the mail, that way I didn't have to call my bank and cancel that check, so I didn't have to pay the $25 cancel check fee, but put something in the computer telling them not to cash the other check in case it came in the mail, though I thought it was lost. The lady at wells fargo auto said sure, that she would put a note so they would not cash the check that was in the mail. Bill paid.

A week later I got something in the mail for a bounced check. Wells fargo cashed the check over the phone, then two days later cashed the other check that came in from the mail. I called wells fargo and told them what happened. They saw no note that told anyone to not cash any check. The person on the phone talked to me like I was lying. I told them, why would i give you two checks to cash with the same check number? They didn't want to listen. I had to pay them a Fee and my bank a fee.

A few months later. I sent them a check in the mail, with other checks that I was mailing off also. A few days later I cancel one check, forgetting that i had already paid it and didn't want to double pay that month. Well, I accidently canceled the wrong check, my auto check to wells fargo. After finding out, I immediately called them and told the lady what had happened and and paid them with a check over the phone. She told me should would leave a note in the system stating that the check was cancelled but i paid over the phone. I asked her to make sure cause I had a problem with this before, but she told me it's in there.

A few days later, they called me stating that the check had been cancelled, that it was a bounced check and they coudln't accept any more checks from me. I was outraged that they cash anything without looking at the notes or if they do, there's no notes stating anything. Do everyone there at wells fargo lie!?

Recently my wife was deployed and I had my fulltime job, 2 kids, 2 dogs that i was taking care of by myself. The only time I was ever late in sending in a payment. It was due on june 28th, and i sent it in on june 28th, oh and theres a 10 day grace period, but they don't care. Why..

A female from wells fargo called me on june 29th and asked where was my payment, it was due on the 28th. I told her sorry but I sent it on the 28th but from SC to PA would take only 3-4 days, and sorry. She told me in a stern voice that it's due in their office on the 28th not after. I asked what's the grace period for, she didn't say nothing.

Then I said, being nice, with my wife deployed overseas, taking care of a newborn and a 5 year old, 2 little dogs, and a full time job (military also), that's why I was late on sending it. She told me in a rather moody way, what's that got to do with you being late?! I told her everything and hung up the phone.

Now I have to send my payment by money order. Well july 22nd 06 I sent them a money order by priority mail, I feel like it will get there safer, and not get lost by priority. Well about a week later, a woman called from wells fargo, telling me how late I was, in a real bad mood, almost yelling at me. I told her that i sent a money order by priority, 2-3 day shipping, that it was way before the due date and i don't know why you haven't received it.

Still being moody, she yelled, I bet you sent it off, you need to pay this now! I told her i will go to the post office and check on it. Well I did, and had to pay $3.50 to have it tracked. I called wells fargo and told them the situation, that also if it did come up lost, i would western union the money to them. AND if that money order came in, to post it on the next bill. Tey said sure. A week passes and no money order came to them yet. So now it's August 20th, and i called to make sure if the money order came in, they said no. A few hours later, I called for their info to send it western union, they guy on the phone said the payment was already made. I asked when did the money order came in, he stated August 7th. Mad, i said why have there been people harassing me and telling me the money order didn't arrive??!! He stated that sometimes a payment arrvies and it sits there, noted but not posted yet, that someone probably forgot... Forgot??!!

What happened to customer service? I understand some people lie about things and some don't. I feel that wells fargo is a company that should be closed down! I know of other people in the military that have problems with them, that they lie about so much things and they make NO mistakes, yeah right!
I tell eveyone now to stay away from them, that they are a rip off and will make life harder.

I tell my wife all the time, that when you call people you have to be nice to them and they will be nice back. Not Wells Fargo! They will call you and yell at you, though it's them that's messing up!

That's why a few weeks ago, we are refinancing our car with a different bank, should have done this along time ago!
