My estranged husband got in an accident in a car in my name with no insurance. Bad enough. Then I start getting these letters from Afni, Inc. Saying I owe a couple thousand. Being naive about the situation I took these as real and their scare tactic of my license being suspended was believed. So I work out an agreement with them.
Begin paying. My balance suddenly shoots up to over 5,000 dollars with no explanation as to why. I punch their name in here and it says fraud. I have been paying them for well over a year now and am disgusted at myself for not doing my homework in the first place. Can they really have my license suspended? I dont think I am going to continue payment.
