Moore Buick Pontiac GMC
Rip-off!

I have been a loyal costomer of Moore Buick for the past several years purchasing 3 new vehicles from them. Several months ago I ordered a mirror for the passanger side of my car and the mirror that arrived was for the driver side. While on vacation and before I was able to take the mirror back (I still have the receit for $141.21), We needed extra space in the trunk of the car so we removed the mirror from it's box and kept in the original wrapping. When we arrived back home, I went to return the mirror.

To my surprise I was told that without the box they would not be able to take the mirror back. I questioned why they could not put the mirror on the shelf and sell it to the next customer who needed one or the next time they placed another order simply put this mirror in the box of the new one that came in. The answer I received was "we can't send it back the facory if it was not in the original box."

I asked the "parts manager" if it was in the best interest of the company to treat a loyal customer in this fashion and why he would be willing to loose a good costomer over a cardboard box? He responded "I'm sorry you feel this way, but we won't be held hostage and comply with your request, it's that simple." I was truly shocked at this treatment and I have made attempts to reach the owner to no avail. I reported the incident to GMC who were helpful but told me they had no control over the dealerships practices.

I still have the mirror in it's original wrapping and the receit in the trunk of my car. I guess I;ll hold on to it in the event I ever need to replace one again. Anyone need a passenger side mirror for a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville?
