Accounts Receivable Management calls repeatedly about an old car loan that I had 4 years ago. The car was nothing but trouble and I guess that was my fault for not picking a better car. I told the original creditor that I didn't want the car any longer. They came and got the car and sold it and charged off the account. Now ARM (as far as I know) has bought the debt from them and calls my house what seems like every day.
From reading here, I take it that they can't win the battle because I didn't have an account with them. What steps can I take to keep them off my back? Also, in what order should the steps be taken? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
