Muffler ripoff

Required a tail pipe muffler for a Nissan 2wd pickup, called into this Midas muffler shop in Wasilla, Alaska and was quoted $111. I questioned the high price for this 3.5 foot section and was told thats the price. Went 300 yards across the road to Car Quest and asked for the same muffler and was quoted $15 and therfore I purchased it.

I returned to the Midas shop and asked to speak to the manager. He was busy sticking very important stickers on the the glass front of his "Midas" and could not take the time to discuss. He did tell me though that Car Quest is a parts shop and Midas is not...? I asked him to explain this again... He repeated it. I asked him $111 or $15 how does Midas justify this... He told me to go away and never never did stop his important task nor did he ever look the direction I was on.

This is a small community and I have been talking to many people about this, who also will never shop at any Midas again... Car Quest for me!
