I payed full price for a Demo Model Car (Hyundai Accent) basically they don't want to know any of the problems it has, and certainly don't want to rectify the problem.

I had a knocking noise when I turned the engine off, coming from the rear of my car. I phoned Hyundai and got it booked into Hyundai Service Dept and had asked for a replacement car while mine was being fixed. At the time this was no drama.

As I Live in Port Douglas about an hour from Cairns, I had to take a day off work to go and get it fixed.

I arrived at the service Dept just before 8am, and went in to tell them i was here, and to see about this other car i was told i was getting to use while mine was in being fixed.

They then told me that there were no cars for me to use and I'd have to walk where i wanted to go, meanwhile there was a light shower of rain aswel.

Annoyed, extremely I gave them my mobile number and asked them if they wouldn't mine phoning me when it was ready to be collected. That was no problem (so they said).

I went on my way, and did what i had to and by 3pm still no phone call. I then decided to go back around closing time. I arrived there at about 4.30pm to be told there was no problem with my car.

Furious as I'd missed a days work, I arrived home and decided to talk to someone higher up. The following day I phoned Sydney Hyundai and explained to them the noise that I'd been hearing.

The next day I received a call from Sydney Hyundai to tell me the part I needed for my car was in Cairns, and to make an appointment to go down once again to put it on.

So therefore Hyundai in Cairns had the car all day and never new the problem, but when i spoke to Sydney oner the Phone they knew exactly what it was!!!

Since then I've had 1 engine Fault, 1 fuel Fault, tyres scrapping on the back wheel guards, causing the tyres to scrub away. I've had it back at least 2-3 times for my windows - which fall down while driving causing a whistling noise.

Since day one a glove box that droops down to one side. When i asked them to fix it I was told that they were all like that - Funny as my friend has same model and hers sits fine.!!!

And then the leads where arching out the spark plugs causing my car to be undrivable. Now the final straw is my car is starting to misfire again.

All this, may not be much to anyone else, but I brought a brand new car thinking I wouldn't have problems but it's all I've had. The car is not even 2 years old yet!!!
