AutoSmith of Georgia, Inc. AutoTune, Auto Acceptance Company POOR customer service, NO integrity, NO respect for the consumer!

I purchased my vehicle from AutoSmith of Ga, Inc, in June. Approximately 4 weeks after my purchase, my check engine light came on and I rushed my car in, which was covered by an extended warranty by the company, in for repairs. Since July my vehicle has been into their mechanic's service center nearly 6 times, and is not sitting outside of my home with a diminished transmission.

Each time my car was taken to the auto mechanic, it was taken for the same reason, something wrong with acceleration. While my car is still covered under warranty, I have little reason to believe this company will actually fix my car. I have been given the green light to take my car to a Toyota dealership to have the car assessed (diagnosed) and repairs done to the vehicle, unless a transmission is needed. If a transmission is needed, I have to take my car to the same auto mechanic who has not been able to fix my car in the first place.

All the while this is going on, the finance company (Auto Acceptance Company) states that they can not defer my payments while I have to pay for a rental car. I asked the woman if it made sense to her that I was currently responsible for paying for a product that I actually can not and will not be able to use for at least the next 2 weeks while it's being repaired, for no fault of my own, but fault of the automobile seller. She said that I would still have to pay for my unused vehicle on time, and there could be no arrangements made for a rental car, or for a temporary deferment while my car is being serviced.

The customer service at AutoSmith and it's subsidiaries, AutoTune and Auto Acceptance company, has been sub par. The most helpful individuals have been at AutoTune, the auto mechanic, except, they can't seem to do the one thing they are supposed to do, and that's fix cars. Well, at least not my car. I have a "sour" taste in my mouth, if you know what I mean, but Georgia's lemon law only applies to new vehicles, and not used ones, so companies like AutoSmith can get away with stuff like this in this state because they can still continue to do business, and simply either settle with individuals by refund or trade-in.

I'm still in the process of getting this whole situation ironed out through legal channels, but I just wanted to relay to consumers to not deal with shabby companies like AutoSmith. If I've taken my vehicle in for repairs, for the SAME problem, 6 times, have only had the car 8 months, and can not currently drive the vehicle because it's disabled in front of my home, that should tell you something about this company. Again, I did not wreck the vehicle or anything like that... These mechanics are just seemingly incompetent. The finance company is cold, and the sales people at AutoSmith are callous. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE!

Not to mention I paid way too much for this car!!! I'm looking at working with another finance company that told me that Auto Acceptance Company ought to be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of consumers the way they have with me!
