I bought a 2006 freightliner classic from lone mountain truck leasing in july of i just found this site is why im just now posting this. When i bought this truck there were other drivers there buying trucks so i looked them all over quickly and chose the best looking one based on ripped seats, peeling paint and scrapes on the fenders.
I went to the salesman told him the vin i had chosen, he paused, repeated the vin like a question, i said yes, he shrugged his shoulders and said ok. Next step was getting a dyno test and a dot check, because my truck was goin straight to minnisota for a company dot i asked if they could do a minnisota dot. The shop manager said they were very busy and assured me the truck was in good dot shape and wrote a note on my dot inspection waiver saying that when i get to minnisota if my company finds any dot problems lone mountain will take care of it, then he signed it.
