Bob Gaber Fraud, Scam be careful

Cars & Transport

I recently applied for a position in the auto industry, I have never been in car sales but figured i'd give it a shot since. I need to provide for my family. Anyhow I apply and get a response to meet a Mr. Bob Gaber. When I arrive at the interview he asks me a couple of questions and tells me to come the next day to begin training. Did that an as soon as I get there, around 15 people are there also vying for the same position.

Training begins and everything seemed to be ok, until he asks us for a payment of $399... I was like no way. I have never paid to get a job and if I could pay I the money then why im I looking for a job. All the group pays on the last day. After we all pay he sends us out on a wild goose chase and when we come back we see that the money had already been either deposited or cashed.

After the training is done he says he has to leave and makes us wait for the owner of the dealership to come. This takes over 2 hours (Very unprofessional). When interviewed by the owner we were told that since we're new we still have to pass a background check, and that we are not yet employed. I thought that had been done already. They told me we would have a draw of $300 a week! That wont even pay my housing, plus We would only have two days a month off working store hours which is around 12-14 hours a day!!!

It seems they never wanted us to work, they just want to have something to show because nobody that has a family will work under those conditions. This is a huge rip-off and I will put a stop payment immediately on the check I gave him. The AD on Careerbuilder said flexible hours, that doesnt seem to flexible to me. Please be wary of this individual, hes a smart man and a smooth talker. Stay away at all costs.
