Progressive insurance rip-off cancellations

On December 7th I was involved in an accident. The other driver was charged. I was injured he was not. Progressive sent me a notice that the other drivers insurance with state farm had lapsed.

No problem, I carried uninsured motorist. Yes problem. The only contact I recieved from Progressive was concerning my injuries and doctor I was seeing. No concern what-so-ever to repair my very damaged car. I was assigned an accident claim number and that was it.

On December 28th, my son borrowed his mothers car to go to the store. He was rearended by a drunk driver that the police chased thru neighborhoods and over mail boxes and finally caught after a foot chase thru back yards.

He was arrested. We called Progressive and they assigned another claim number. About 4 hours later, we recieved a call that our insurance was cancelled.

Our payment due date is the 21st of each month. We pay generally 2 weeks early. The same day we were cancelled we recieved our cancelled check via our bank. The check had been recieved on the 11th and deposited by Progressive on the 20th. Still they cancelled for non-payment.

You know and I know they cancelled because of the accidents, not non-payment.
This company is clearly a rip-off and a fraud. This is not the end of this case. I will go public in a major way, keep an eye on the news.
