Buyer Beware - Battery Dies You Lose $800

Stowed my bike for winter. Used to donot bother to place it on the trickle charger. I thought I'd simply cost it-up the next Spring after I was prepared to experience again.

In fairness to LoJack, I am confident they've it plainly recorded someplace, when you permit your $800 LoJack togo totally lifeless, you have totally dropped it permanently, but I never noticed that portion of any guide.

I mistakenly believed that it'd simply return to existence after I energized my bikeis battery. A phone to LoJack customer support sent the crushing information.

"No, sir. When the LoJackis inner backup battery goes dead, it is virtually only dead. Older LoJacks had a changeable battery, but actually that will charge a couple of hundred bucks to displace. The newer LoJacks can't actually be exposed."

Surprised, I requested, "You suggest, my $800 LoJack is much like some of those handmade cards that plays audio, that you simply discard when its battery works out?"

"Well, should you maintain it billed, it'll last quite a long-time."

Shocked silence. You mean, I simply dropped nearly $1000 since I allow my bicycleis battery-run along within the winter season.

"Yes, sir. I am sorry the purchase individual didn't clarify that sufficiently for you."

The scandal isn't they grossly misrepresented something. It is they may even design something which might reveal one to the chance of thus quickly dropping your whole expense, without any option, without any way of restoration. It didn't actually enter my brain that a business as trustworthy as LoJack might place me in harms way like this.
