Enterprise Rent-A-Car
Charged for damage that did not occu

I rented the car from the Raritan, NJ branch and my fiance returned the car to the Scotch Plains branch. Upon returning the car, the Enterprise employee (Patrick) inspected the car with my fiance and his brother, and claimed to see a dent in the trunk that was clearly not there. My fiance immediately took several photographs of the rear of the car to prove that there was no damage. I also spoke with the employee on the phone at that time and assured him that there was no incident of any kind with the car for the 3 days that it was in my posession.

Upon receiving evidence provided by Enterprise, I still do not see any damage in the pictures. I would also like to point out that there is no date on the photographs indicating when the pictures were taken.

The alleged damage occurred in November, and I am just receiving pictures in January. Furthermore, the estimate from the repair facility is dated 11/18. The fact that I am receiving this information months later in January, makes their business practices suspect. Not to mention my fiance called the damage recovery until after 11/18 to inquire about the claim and the employee that he spoke to on the phone told him that they had not yet started the process. Phone logs and/or recordings can easily prove that this conversation took place.

I have done research to see if other complaints have been made about Enterprise and I was not surprised to find an overwhelming amount of complaints, which all state similar situations to the one that I was put in by your company. This company has no credibility as far as I am concerned. I am extremely disappointed with the outcome of this experience with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

It is only a matter of time before I will be forced to retain an attorney and/or go to small claims court. It's not that I can't afford the $500 they are charging me. It's the fact that this whole thing is a scam and I will not let them get away with it.
