Drive Time
AKA Rip Off Central rip off

Cars & Transport

I bought my car back in febuary. And i had problems right from the start. The car was shutting on and off while driving. I contacted drive time 2 weeks after i got the car, and they decided then to tell me there was a re-call on the vehicle i bought. So i took it to the ford dealership and they said there was nothing wrong with my car. About 4 weeks ago i was driving home, and the problems started again. Except this time the car shut all the way off. (my alternator blew)

So i had to ride 40 miles on a brand new battery i had bought the day before, because the one that was in there from drive time was the wrong size. (the battery they put in there was about 2 inches to small) so it was held in by a stupid velcrow strap. I took the car to pep boys and found out i had blown my alternator, ran all the juice out of my battery, and had got an exhaust leak from all the jerking of the car going on and off.

I contacted drive time to tell them about this problem and i basically got told i would not be reimbursed for any work done on my car. Even though it was still under the 90 day warranty. And yes. I got the same crappy 30% loan to. (wich i also didnt know was bad at the time) my car right now is siting at 15,500 dollars. The car itself is only worth 6,500. And thats brand new! I got mine with 73,000 miles on it. Talk about a total Rip Off! I strongly urge that nobody ever do buisness with those snake in the grass people.
