There were no pictures of the truck online and when I called in I was questioning about the truck and the price and was told that I would receive a discount as a past client. Made an appointment to come in.instead of showing me the truck first, he wanted to sit us down and make us fill out all this paperwork when we didnt even know if we even wanted it. We were filling out paperwork for something we havent even seen yet.

The 10 references and credit check stuff, employment, residence, etc. I understand they want to make sure we are approved, but first off Im a past client, second they approve almost anyone, and 3rd they should be more concerned about pleasing the customer than saving themselves time so Mark should have asked us if we wanted to take a look at the truck before we got started.

Filled out the paperwork and stuff as asked to do and the entire time felt rushed and things were moving way too fast and he was not giving us undivided attention so this raised my anxiety level. Then, he TOLD me didnt ASK, but TOLD me that him and J were going to go test drive the truck and I was to wait there. Why didnt he bring me? There is a 3rd seat. And even so, he could have asked who wants to test drive it first. But he didnt. Now, J has never owned a vehicle and never gotten credit.

He has never applied for anything before and is not keen to types of things to look for when being sold and also buying a vehicle. I told him to listen for anything weird and get a feel of the truck so when he comes back he can tell me if there was anything wrong. Since obviously I wasnt being allowed to test drive the truck. I feel as if Mark took the information I gave him about why and what we are looking for and used that to his advantage, and prayed on Justin. He took advantage of Js ignorance.

They get back from the test drive and are standing outside. They kept talking and were staring at the bed of the truck. I sensed something wrong so I went outside. Now, I shouldnt have had to INVITE myself outside to look at the truck. As soon as they got back, Mark should have either sent J to come get me, or came and got me himself to take a look at the truck before signing the final docs. But it was as if he was trying to avoid getting me involved at all costs. Why? Maybe because I was going to be a harder sale and he kind of knew that already.

So I go out and look at the outside of the truck. The bed of the truck is all scratched up. This is fine. Thats what trucks are for, whatever. I noticed a small dent on the side of the bed and then the front tires were going bald. I figured; okay guess we are going to need to buy a couple new tires in a month or two. I opened the door and looked inside the truck. It wasnt spotless but it was clean and didnt smell like garbage so I said ok and went back inside so we could all sit down and talk about it.

We sit down and Im still irritated that I didnt get to go test drive the truck. Mark goes and gets the papers showing me that the price of the truck was brought down from 8995, to 7995. I had a coupon for $499 off because I paid off my other car with them. I was told that was already included in the discount. Which I thought was BS because then that means Im only truly getting a $500 discount. This pissed me off.

I told him to print out the financial paperwork because I want to look at it. I wanted to see how much interest we were going to be charged and what else they were going to add on to the price of the truck. So, we waited.in the meantime, J told me there was no stereo. The faceplate to the stereo was missing. I asked mark and was told not to worry about it, they have 4 or 5 of them in the back and Bob or Bill whatever his name was could look for a faceplate for us. He kept saying dont worry about trying to move on to a different topic.

I get the financial paperwork and while we are signing they bring the truck to the back. This is where their mechanic is. They wanted to make sure it was cleaned up for us and fluids were good, etc. The first thing I noticed that was upsetting was the $300 doc fee. Seriously? $300 to print out documents? Thats how much a doc fee is to buy a HOUSE. Not a car.

Rip-off #1. Then, I noticed the interest rate we were being charged. 29.5% — for a 2.5 year auto loan. Regular banks charge about 3%. So we are being charged 10 times MORE than a normal bank. All because its a buy here pay here place. Thats rip-off #2. Following the interest rate I noticed the amount of sales tax. Almost $800. So basically discount? Out the window. We were back to paying full price. Ripoff#3. For the grand finale, I looked up the retail price for this truck on KBB. KBB states that for this truck in EXCELLENT condition, i.E.: no scratches, dents, no missing radios, good tires, and perfect running The price was between 5500-6000.

Closer to 5600, for a retail sales price. We paid sticker price almost 9 grand. Now THATS a rip-off. They are already making $300 for printing 10 pieces of paper. 800-900 in supposed sales tax and then almost 30% interest which is about 4K over the life of the loan. Why did they feel they needed to charge us 3-4K MORE than what that thing was worth? As a past client, that is offensive and unethical. That dealership had NO IDEA about the truck and just randomly picked a price for it I understand in sales you put a higher price so you have room for negotiations. But to me, it was like there was no negotiating. It was their way or no way.

So 45 minutes goes by and we are done signing everything and still waiting for the truck to be done in the back. Im irritated, pissed off and anxious at this point. I was getting to the point to where if I had to wait another 5 minutes I was going to tell them never mind and leave and go somewhere else. So, J asked if there was anything else left to sign and Mark said no so I left. I told Justin I would meet him at home. As I was getting up, at the last minute, Mark tells me that there were no available faceplates for the stereo and we would have to go buy one at our own expense.

So like $100. (forgot to mention, the price didnt include our tags so we have to pay $90 in 30 days for that) Also, I will need to come up with $300 in 2 weeks for my down payment Im pretty sure they dont need a down payment. They already are going to get enough money from me. The down payment is pennies on the dollar VS how much this stupid truck is going to cost me at the end of the day. I got in my car and went home.

The next day comes and me and J go to the store and the break light is on. It wont shut off. I asked J about it and he said that Mark told him its a problem with the sensor and that they ordered the part and they will fix it. And that was one of the reasons why it stayed in the back for so long. This was the last straw. Official buyers remorse, regret, and anything else you can think of. That truck should have NOT left the parking lot if there was something wrong with it.

If they had it with the mechanic and there were issues the mechanic could not fix, they should have told us that they would need to keep the truck for fixing or allowed us to pick something else. But instead just let J drive off the lot with a lemon of a truck. We signed a paper that said they dont sell lemons. Well, how would they know if it was a lemon if they hadnt even checked it out before selling it to anyone?

I asked Mark if the truck has ever been in an accident and he said I dont know and then probably not anything major though. We wouldnt know about minor dings and fender benders. What a BS smoke screen if I ever heard one. So basically, we got screwed over BIG TIME.By the way whoever is wondering - the truck was a 2001 chevy S10.80K miles.
