I feel like part of a family

Cars & Transport

I started feeling like I was part of a family when I said " I wasn't happy about the work being done on my 1996 corvette "Tyger (The owner) said "I could take my Corvette and get out of his shop" Then when you (Tyger) satred BSing me about if I knew it was going to need aliment shims I would haved charged you more money. It's very hard to aline a 1996 Corvette without aliment shims (IE-Alinement Shims)

Then you made me buy the shims... Shims are part of the aliment... But until you stared in front other people sitting in the wateing telling me about all the nice cars sitting around your shop and how great and wonderful you are and how great and wonderful the people working for you were and looking at me like I was the problem did I say in front of other people and makeing me feel like I was giving you a hard time and I didn't know what I was talking about never asked who I was it was all about you...

Let me tell you about who I am... Been working on autos for 45 years Hot Rods Corvetts name it I prop. Worked on it. No Tech plack to hang on the wall but do have a trophy room full of trophy's from Corvettes I have restored and raced a showed over the years. My first Corvette was a 1961 in 1965 have neve been without one from then to now, a few years back had seven. And to talk down to me like I didn't know what I was talking about when I was saying it's takeing to long to do what you are doing to my car and telling me crazy stuff like the aliments I have gotten in the past were some how just made up and wern't real aliments and the aliment I was getting from you was the first real aliment the 1996 Corvette ever had and I must been going through tires like crazy..

The Corvette pulled a little to the right that's all... Seven Hours yes seven hours to aline my 1996 corvette... By now I was starting to feel that I was part of a family, difucional family but a family for sure. After Seven hours to do a 1 1/2 hour job. (Called every aliment shop in Houston Tx. Asked how long how much money to aline my 1996 Corvette (It pulls a little to the right) One to two Hrs. $100.00 to $139.00 I asked do I need to buy shims? What I heard on the other end (Most cars need shems to aline right we have shop full of them..

After seven hours Tyger showed me the aliment was right (The alinement machhine has a screen and shows what was done the the car) it looked good. After all said and done Tyger said " you been here too long no charge. But went on to say if he was going to charge me it would be $500.00 for the work he did, He alinged the car $100.00 to $139.00 anywere in Houston Tx. I payed anyway I payed the $139.00 that what I was told over the phone the right thing for me to do. Sometimes it's not about the money sometimes it's how you talk to people when knowbody is around to here you and how you talk to people when people are around to here you and if you think that all the big money cars and the stuff makes you some how better that me? That's is not who I am and would like to think that's not who you are? Thanks but no thanks I don't want to be part of your family...
