Consignment Crooks

November 98 my father and I placed our 86 Chevy Corvette on
consignment at Mr. Corvette in Fremont CA. The agreed amount that we would collect is $8,500. After 90 days the consignmet contract
expired and we decided to keep the car their a little longer.

May 99 I recieved a phone call from a women named September who was incharge of their finance dept. She said if we would consider lowering our price, I said "NO".

Aug 15,99 I was in Concord CA at Tower Records and was driving
through the parking lot and noticed my Corevette. I imediately
parked my vehicle I was driving behind the corvette just incase
whoever was driving the car would not want to talk. A few minutes later the person driving the car walked out. I asked him when did he purchase the car? He stated in May of 99. I asked him where is your registration? He said I don't have any because he is still awaiting the Pink Slip (title). He said the delership Mr. Corvette is giving him the run around. That is why he nver can get the car registered. I proptly exchanged information with him.

The next morning I went directly to Mr. Corvette and talked to
Frank Vansiko the VP of the company. I asked him why I have not
been told the vehicle was sold and why I have not recieved my
money? It has been 3 months since the vehicle was sold and
according to the consignment contract we signed it says that
Mr. Corvette will pay the consignee the full amount within 20 days of the sale of the vehicle. His response was" I don't Know?" I called the local athorities and they told me it was a civil manner.

Frank Vansiko told me in order for him to give me the money in
which he owed me I would have to provide a pink slip. I specificly told him on the day we consigned the car at Mr. Corvette that we had lost the pink slip, Frank Vansiko said it is ok we have the papers to transfer the title without the hard copy. His DMV personnel that dose the DMV paper work at Mr. Corvette said their is no problem. Now that the vehivcle is sold his story has changed.

I went to DMV to try and retrieve a new copy of the pink slip and they told me they cannot because Mr. Corvette has already started the process of transfeing registration. They said my only way I can get a copy of the pink slip is if I provide a court order to put a stop to the DMV paper work.

Mr Corvette is a Crook and is a complete JERK!!!
