Ripoff False inspection

I recently went to a new smog testing station instead of the one I usually go to. Bad idea. My truck has passed every test for 5 years until it came to A1 smog. The reason wasn't that it had poor emissions or something environmentally bad; They said the air pump hose was supposed to be in the center of the catalytic converter and not on the side. What??? They wanted $150.00 or they would not pass my truck (which is fuel injected I might add). I left with a $35.00 dent in my wallet and headed for another certified smog service center, ten minuets later it had passed with flying colors. My only satisfaction is that the company I work for used to send their freight of work trucks to A1 smog... Guess what happened.
