Took my money and did crappy work

Brought car in to have check engine light checked and timing belt replaced. I knew there might be extensive damage to the engine, but when I got the car back I was told everything was A-ok, and I might get the drive belts replaced sometime soon. Check engine light was a starter sensor which they fixed along with replacing timing belt. Next day after getting car back it died. Towed it back to them where they found extensive damage to the engine. They offered to cover labor charges if I cover parts. Fair enough. Since they would have received all the money had the properly looked at the car in the first place. So after four months going back and forth with them, replace the engine, no repair the engine, parts taking over a month to get, back and forth, costs to much to repair, just get new engine... On and on. So we settled at get new engine at the 3 month mark of them having the car. New engine installed and it had compression issue so it was replaced. Took another month to get them to install that engine when it was finally ready they said "Oh by the way first engine install was free, second one is $800", that was not the agreement, and it wasn't my fault first engine was defective. If they wanted to get paid get the money from the people they bought engine from. But at this point I hadn't have my car for 4 months so I paid it just to get it back, I plan to take them to small claims court to get my money back. Then I had the car for 3 months and it died, no chance in hell I'll take it to them they might keep it a year and charge me $1600! Just going to trash the car at this point. Awful shop, so sad I took my car there. It was a friends nephew, he feels bad for sending me there. So moral of my story. If you want your car to work do not take it here!!
