Ripoff Car was vandalized in transport, factory installed equipment in trunk was destroyed

During the transport of a car from CT to CA, someone opened the truck of the car and tried to remove a factory installed CD player. When unable to do so, individual destroyed the player using a tire iron. Lowest estimate to replace unit was $1,200. AAAdvantage Auto Transport claimed that they were not responsible even though trunk was locked and company driver had the only key. They refused to consider any claim for reimbursement of loss.
