Daniel Schmitt, St Louis, MI - Just a dishonest gang!

Unfortunately I found myself here too. Like many others out there I took my deep dive with the dishonest gang of DANIEL SCHMITT & Co.

I spotted a car they had advertised, verbally and in writing said to be beautiful and totally restored 'The best we had seen in our many years of experience'. Also said to have certified documented mileage, full history and from California hence no worries about rust etc...

I wrote and exchanged many emails with them, I got 'them' of the phone many times (Daniel himself, an alleged mechanic, the secretary and a couple other guys). I felt I was safe to purchase from this gang!

Three (3) months later the car arrived, simply put a freaking project car! Something to be totally restored, and with, No documented mileage, Not from California, Not fully restored, worse, it is probably the worst car I have seen in my non-professional car experience.

To say the least, I was a perfect buyer to them and I trusted them, what a fool I was.

What it is a shame here is that it was my dream car and I was so happy to source it from the USA because I value their cars and their people way of life.

Of course I went back and forth to them, I reported the damages caused 6000USD for parts and 18,000 Euro for paint, repairs, replacements etc..., and not forgetting 5-7 months needed to get this car near collectible and drivable (All documented). Somehow I managed to get back from them 3000USD (which they paid me back against the damages caused) thinking to do away with me.

Anyway, I reported them to the Attorney General of Missouri, I am also reporting my misfortune and adventure to all websites I will find them advertising, and I am reporting and charging them to 2 US Federal authorities.

All this to say, Do not ever buy a car from this dishonest and organised gang, the only possible ending with this sort is that you will feel terribly sorry for yourself! Drive away to be safe
