This lemonade stand AKA dealership, Grand Rapids Truck Center, is a sham to say the least! They employ a shady mechanic that has admittingly stolen Volvo (Kenworth, Freightliner, Peterbilt) software that can erase fault codes from the truck's ECU's to make them appear mechanically sound so that they don't have to put much money into fixing them before they sale them to poor unexpecting truckers. They chrome their trucks out and detail them well to entice you to buy them. But these are wholesale trucks (many of which have been wrecked) that major dealers did not want that have major mechanical problems.
News flash: class 8 vehicles are not protected under the lemon law... So once you buy it, its your problem.
They make sure they write, "As Is Where Is" all over their sales receipts and documents, that the buyer is required to sign, so that you have NO RECOURSE when these shiny trucks are exposed for the real lemons that they are! Their shady documents state that you, the buyer has fully inspected the vehicle to the extent that you want to, however they will refuse to allow you to take the truck to a certified mechanic at a Volvo, Freightliner, Peterbilt, etc... To have it placed on a dyno because they know that the codes will re-surface. They will also refuse to allow you to have an oil analysis done afraid of the real problems that you may discover.
Shortly after you take the truck (sometimes the same day you drive off) your truck will begin to act out. You may be riding down a road and hit a bump and a loud noise will appear. The more you drive the vehicle, the more codes will re-appear. Overnight, your $50,000 investment will become your $100,000 nightmare and there's nothing you can do about it.
Don't let them get away with it. Shut this lemonade stand down today by not patronizing them!!
