G. Salmi is the {acting} manager of this Jiffy Lube (#3341; 1711 Church ST, Conway SC}

Went in for a basic oil change for my 2010 Malibu and come out spending $150; originally $175 {knocked down only because the manager had "coupons" for those that "spend a lot"}

The manager told me that if I did not go for the synthetic oil change, my car will be out of warranty, that they would have no choice but contact GMC that we placed regular oil in our car, because it would also be in the records, that they are obligated to do so; so of course, I purchased the $89.00 synthetic package, which was one step from the most expensive.

He claimed to check the transmission for levels and said it was locked off, couldn't do it. Couldn't do tires either because they didn't have a nitrogen pump. So I let it pass. Understandable. At that point, I was wanting to go.

He then told me that the windshield wipers needed replaced. I said it was a dealer item, and he proceeded to tell me that he had what would fit. Charged $24.99 plus $19.99. He said "get one free if buy one" so I said Ok. Got the $19.99 for free. I had the one on the drivers side replaced, and put up the 'free' one.

He showed me where the air filter "needed" replacement. It wasn't that dirty at all {my car had, at the time, 26,806 miles on it} Said if I didn't replace it, I will lose gas mileage; said it needed replacement every 20,000 miles. So I had it changed. Charged $39.99.

4 days after purchasing the windshield wipers, the one that was replaced {drivers side} flew off during a rain storm! I was driving blind because with it being off, I couldn't run the wipers! It would of scratched the windshield. I didn't complain at that time because: "whats the use? It's just a windshield wiper"

Today, I go to the dealership where I purchased my car, to get the transmission topped off and tires checked... Turns out: My car does NOT take synthetic oil. Jiffy Lube KNEW this. The dealership said: "you can check the oil cap and it will say on it, plus you could check your manual." My car did NOT need the air filter. My car was at 26,806 miles. According to GMC, that model of vechile, does not require the air filter to be changed until 50,000 miles and only then, if it is caked.

The windshield wipers, plain and simple: Did NOT Fit. The one that was replaced, was way over size for my car; it kept hitting the passenger side. It flung off in a rain while using it! So my dealership gives me the number to Jiffy Lube customer service {1-800-344-6933} and I call them today... I waited on hold for 23 minutes to only be hung up on when someone answers. I call back and wait another 13 minutes to get someone who makes fun of me and my issue!

She said that I will have to go back to the store that I had a problem at and complain to him because they don't handle refunds or complaints. Gave me a 'confirmation number' to do so with. So I call my credit card company, they can't do much because it's an oil change along with things I cannot return... Sure I can dispute the charge, but as they see it, I pretty much got ripped a new one. DO NOT GO TO THIS {OR ANY} JIFFY LUBE!

Even after all this: They didn't even wipe off my windows or vacuum my damn car. Plus I had to clean up all the oil left over, that they put there in my car! As my dealership put it: "They are only there to push the oil you don't need, so they can make a profit, all the while, ripping you off. They make all places like them, look bad"

This Jiffy Lube appears from the outside as they know what they're doing... Laying down mats before you get in your car, so you don't get anything on the carpet when you get in {whatever, it's nice if you KNOW you didn't purchase anything else but STANDARD OIL} - but DO NOT Let that fool you, if you just paid them for MORE THAN a basic oil change...

They just ripped you off!!! And you better have a PROFESSIONAL check out what they 'did'.
