Extremely overcharged for automotive service

We took our Corvette to this garage for a front spoiler repair and repair of the fuel gage. Then the car was driven into the garage bay. The mechanics then decided to move the car to another bay, upon attempting this the car mysteriously would not start so the mechanics said it needed a new distributor we agreed and they did this.

The parts needed roughly came to $800.00. They had to order them from California. They also informed us that they had to remove the gas tank 3 times because they didn't know what they were doing from the start or trying to pad the bill. We checked around with various Corvette mechanics after and they informed us that the cost was ridiculously high.

After we got the car back there seemed to be more things wrong with it than when we took it to this garage i.E. Left window didn't work, the engine did not idle any better with the new distributor, there was almost no oil when we checked it.

The final bill was a whopping $1600 and some change.
