Qt quick trip gas station phoenix 3rd ave & indian school # 440 gas pump jumping. Pump charges you 5 before any gas even comes out

I was pumping gas at QT today 4-23-04 around 11:30 A.M. I was watching the pump closely. The amount went right to 5 when i squeezed the handle even though no gas had come out yet.

I looked online when I came home and I see this is happening in other states also. It is called pump jumping. I am going to go to another gas station and see if the amount starts at 1. Then I will go back to QT and when it starts at 5 I will bring someone out to the pump that works there.

As for getting any money back I'm not sure what to do. That QT is the only place I have been getting gas at ever since they have opened a few years ago.

I just want others to be aware. The gas prices are high enough without QT skimming an extra 5 worth off the top of everyone that goes there.
