Clerk Told me to Pay for Another Car!

I pull my car up to the pump then I put my credit card to process the pump for gas. I pump gas then the pump stops at $6. At that point, I customer walks out the store saying that the store guy wants to talk to you. I go into the store and this store worker Indian ethnicity male starts yelling at me for pumping a customers gas. I told him that I pulled up to the pump and did not see anyone nor see a car around this pump. How would I know if someone paid for the pump? So, the store worker yells at me and tells me to pay for that man's gas. He pointed to the customer and told me to pay for his gas because I used his pump? The customer pulled his car next to the pump after I moved my car away from the pump. I thought this store worker was rude, unprofessional, and should never set up a pump for someone that has no car sitting at the pump. As I paid for the customer's gas with my credit card, then I observe this store worker just laughing like crazy in the store.
