Earnhardt Superstition Hyundai
Keys held hostage, not allowed to leave, keys not returned when requested

My wife and I went to the Earnhardts Hyundai at US 60 and Tomahawk road in AJ. Test drove a 2004 Tibaron. Went inside with the salesman who requested our vehicle keys to perform an appraisal on our used vehicle.

Salesman came back with financing figures and right away things got ugly. I acknowledged we were slightly upside down on our present car but asked why it seemed like they were double dipping. They bumped up the price of the new car to justify trade in value and added the entire payoff amount onto the end of the loan. I was told that I was mistaken.

At this point I first asked for my keys. Now the sales manager came out of the sales office (One way windows on the office so you can't see in). Wanted to know what the problem was. I repeated my request for my keys a least 6 times. He stated "When you calm down, I'll get your keys".

Since my wife was present and I didn't want an altercation, I repeated my opinion that they were double dipping. "NOT TRUE" the manager stated.

After more discussion I repeated my request for my keys and the manager left. He returned a little later, without my keys, with new pricing. $200 a month less that the original.

At this point I again got angry and demanded my keys. He was still trying to sell the vehicle to us. I then stated that because of their actions I would not buy from them and would not sign anything, and I wanted my keys.

Again the manager left and after a few minimutes returned with my keys. We were then ALLOWED to leave, but only after one more attempt to close the deal.

Against my better judgement I did. Never again!!!
