Auto Towing Pure ripoff by this service - $140 for just jumping my car in front of my home - no priceing in advance

I called the service just for jumping my car. I was charged for towing $55 and labor $85. There is only 2 miles away from the company to the car in front of my home and they did not towing anything. I don't know what is typical jumping rate but $85/4 minutes is equivalent to over $1000/hour! I was told this is priced with CHP, which does not make any sense (how come a police organization set up price for towing company?). When I asked if this is a standard price for all California towing service, the representitive said that she cannot talk any longer and hang up the phone. Pleasanton, California
