Tread quarters
Been down that road before

My wife purcahsed a set of Goodyear tires from Tread Quarters tire store here in Orangeburg, SC in April of this year. At thata time ahe requested to have a front-end aligmnet on the Toyota Highlander for which she bought these tires.

She was informed that she needed to replace the "struts" before they could/would perform the front-end aligment.

We took the Highlander to our local Toyota dealer, and they told us that we needed no such work performed.

Yesterday, she took the suv to Tread Quarters to have a "free" wheel rotation. Which they advertise with each new set of tires.

This time, she was informed that she needs new brake pads and an alignment. However, this time NO mention was made of struts.

We took the car to a shop that does our oil changes. (a very honest man).

He told us we did not need to do anything that Tread Quarters said we needed.

Bottom line: this so called free tire rotation that is offered is only a method to produce another encounter... An opportunity for the car owner to return and have his/her ear filled up with garbage and scare taticts... Anything to offset the free so called service.
