Team Hodges Inc
Hodges Chevrolet Charged $158.00 for a set of spark plugs

Cars & Transport

In March of my wife and I took our 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix to Team Hodges to be serviced after it became disabled on the freeway. We waited 3 days for an update from the head mechanic in the service department and were told that the spark plugs had to be replaced since the car wouldn't fire and were charged $158.00. We went to the service department later that day and were told that they had put a scope on the engine and found a hole in the piston.

We were quoted an estimate in excess of $3,000.00 for the repairs on the car. We arranged to have the car towed home and two days after having it sit in our garage, we received a phone call from the head mechanic who offered to purchase the car from my wife for $300.00 stating that he had a daughter who was going to be driving soon, and figured he could fix it for her.

It took us a year to be able to have the car towed to a reputable facility, where a complete breakdown of the engine revealed it had a broken camshaft. None of the information that we were given by the head mechanic at Team Hodges was accurate.

After completing the repairs on the car at a cost of $258.00, I took the car back to Team Hodges and talked with the owner of the dealership. I expressed my feelings of being taken advantage of from their dishonesty and that all measures of trust were depleted. The owner, as I expected, gave me the brush off and stood to defend their practice of dishonest policies.
