Ripoff company - do not use!

I purchased a 427 CI Chevrolet small block engine from Wheeler Power Products in Jacksonville, Florida earlier this year. It finally arrived months later than promised, causing me to have to sit out of the start of my drag race season. Not only did it come as the wrong size engine (434 CI), but the engine blew up on the first day, on the very first run, at Bradenton Motorsports Park. It spun 2 bearings on the connecting rod journal of the crankshaft at an RPM lower than 4800. Destroying, the brand new crankshaft, 2 connecting rods, and scored the cylinder walls. Anybody that knows something about engine building will tell you, that this engine's bearing tolerances were not within specs, if that happened. I immediately, contacted Wheeler Engine Products and they said they were going to pick-up the engine. They never did. I have made numerous phone calls, and they gave me more excuses week after week. My race season was ruined by this INCOMPETENT ENGINE BUILDER. Most reputable companies stand behind their products and services, not this one. After weeks of frustration, i finally found another qualified machine shop to assemble my engine properly. My advice to anyone in Florida who needs an engine shop or engine rebuilding is not to trust or use WHEELER ENGINE PRODUCTS in Jacksonville, Florida. This company is a RIPOFF!!!
