John Randolph Toyota Prius, damaged, accident

I work at Toyota in Redlands and the following car was presented to us for inspection:
Toyota Prius VIN# JTDKB20U157030723

Upon opening the hood it became evident that this particular car has been in a collision that has mainly impacted the FL. I suspect the car was wedged under a tractor trailer/truck. Many of the panels and hood lost their alignment and various bolts are missing.

The gentlemen who brought the car to us also reported that the car had been driven by the seller for over 21000 miles during the holding period. He also mentioned that the brakes malfunctioned. However, we don't know the cause for the malfunction without being able to do a full inspection.

Conclusion: this car has been in a major accident and escaped being deemed 'salvage' through clever manipulation by the owner who has obviously chosen to rely on sub-par resources to repair the car. To repair the car. I do not reccommend anyone buys this car without subjecting it to a professional inspection.
