Stole my $1400 for a warranty then went out of business

Initiated a warranty in October with auto service warranty inc. I went to check if they were deducting a monthly fee from my bank and found that the telephone number just rang busy. I went to their website to get another number and the person on the line said " we bought their name, not their customers and they are out of business" I asked where they could be found and was informed " you just lost all your money" After calling the FTC the attorney general in OHIO and the BBB and consumer affairs, the bottom line seems to be, I just lost all my money, and have no coverage on my car and I dont have any more money to purchase another warranty. Are there any body else whose experienced the same from that company? Would you like to go after them lmk.
