Puurfect auto mission hills
Scammed by mechanic

I got scammed by Puurfect Auto in Mission Hills and at the time it was the manager George working there that pretty much took me for my money. I took my 2002 Nissan Altima in for over heating and George gave me an estimat of $700 to have the head gaskets replaced. He told me that would be the maximum I would have to pay. After I took my car in and it had been in the shop for several days he calls me back telling me it needed more work and the total was going to be $1700.00!

What? I was so upset by I needed my car so bad. After spending about a half hour on the phone with him asking him why had quoted me only $700 originally I told him to go ahead and work on the engine.

After days later I picked up my car and it was in good working condition until I start driving and slowly figured out my radiator was loosing water. The head gasket was still blown and was very slowly leaking water into the engine. I went back to the shop but George was supposedly on vacation. I later found out he had quit or was transferred to another location.

I am out $1,700 and out of car for the meantime because I do not have money to fix it.
